My name is Matthew Palynchuk and while at CRÉ, I was completing an MA in Philosophy with a specialization in Biomedical Ethics at McGill university where my research work revolved around disability, distributive justice, and genetic enhancement. I hold another MA in Philosophy from Concordia University where my thesis argued that the Rawlsian basic structure restriction, the claim that principles of justice apply only to the structure of major institutions in a society, fails to meet the demands of justice for persons with disabilities. When I’m not reading and not-writing, I spend too much time perfecting my coffee brewing, cooking, and looking at pictures of dogs.
