Biography
Dylan Fraser has been a professor in the Department of Biology at Concordia University since 2009. He is passionate about biodiversity conservation and is pluralistic in his research approach, blending ecology, evolution, genetics and social sciences. Much of this research is on fishes, and his research team collaborates extensively with First Nations and governmental agencies in northern Canada. These research foci often require a careful consideration of animal ethics, culturally-appropriate conduct when working with Indigenous communities, and a diversity of values in conservation.
