UQÀM: Call for applications for a position as Professor in Subaltern or non-Western Political Thought

The Department of Political Science at the Université du Québec à Montréal is looking for qualified candidates to renew its faculty and ensure quality development in all areas of activity.

Summary of the position:

  • Teaching at all graduate levels
  • Graduate mentorship
  • Research in the field
  • Community service

Requirements:

  • Doctoral degree in political science or related discipline
  • Scientific publications in the field
  • Ability to teach an undergraduate or graduate course in non-Western or subaltern political thought
  • Ability to teach required courses in political thought
  • Ability to supervise graduate students
  • Ability to participate in departmental activities and assume responsibility for specific roles
  • Fluency in spoken and written French

Start date: June 1st, 2025 (subject to required authorizations).

Salary and Compensation: As per UQAM-SPUQ collective agreement.
