Biography
Alexandre Petitclerc is currently a PhD candidate at the philosophy department of the Université de Montréal. He holds a BA in Political Science and Philosophy from McGill University and an MA in Philosophy from the Université de Montréal. His research questions the impact of socio-economic inequalities on access to civil rights and liberties. As part of his thesis, he aims to establish that social rights play a necessary role for access to civil rights and freedoms. The research explores which organisation can be held responsible for the establishment and respect of social rights. This implies a reflection on the management of these rights by renewed forms of judicial institutions.
