Biography

Georges-Philippe has been focused on building spaces for others to lead and innovate, seeking to foster systemic change and address equity issues through interdisciplinary training, experience in various fields (advocacy, student-centred pedagogy, creative innovation & leadership approaches, bioethics, mindfulness-based interventions, educational technology, mathematics & applied psychology) and a passion for learning and caring.

He is a 3M National Student Fellow (2021) and a Chancellor’s Scholar currently enrolled in the MD program at Université de Sherbrooke (’26), and a PhD student in Bioethics at Université de Montréal under the supervision of professor Bryn Williams-Jones. In his PhD research, he explores how AI and modern technologies influence the way we love and grow, and how we can be intentional in navigating the ever-changing nature of our identities and relationships. 

Georges-Philippe studied Applied Psychology and Mathematics at Bishop’s University (BSc ’21), Intelligence and Transformation at Université Laval (MSc ’22) and Bioethics (Grad. Microprogram) at Université de Montréal (’24), and was a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship in 2021. Following the co-founding of the Online Learning and Technology Consultants program in the summer of 2020, he is currently acting as a senior advisor in the program, for which his team received the D2L Innovation Award in Teaching and Learning in 2022.
