Biography
Junior Thierry Tatsi Tsifo is a contract philosophy teacher at a high school and a doctoral candidate in philosophy of law at the University of Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, within the ISJPS (Institute of Legal and Philosophical Sciences of the Sorbonne) (UMR 8103), under the supervision of Professor Pierre-Yves Quiviger. After completing a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, specializing in “ethics and political philosophy” at the University of Yaoundé I (Cameroon), and a research master’s at the University Côte d’Azur in Nice (France), focusing primarily on a thesis about the freedom of homosexuals in the context of claims for equal rights, his doctoral research aims to define a theoretical framework to legitimize the practice of surrogacy in contemporary law, particularly in France. One of his articles has already been published in issue 40 of the Noesis journal (“Relational Approaches in Philosophy”) under the title “The Challenge of Surrogacy: Towards a New Paradigm of the Relational Contract in Contemporary Law”. Junior Thierry Tatsi Tsifo will undertake a research stay at the CRÉ in May and June 2024, under the supervision of Charles Dupras, Director of the bioethics program.
