Biography
Louis Pierre Côté is currently studying philosophy at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières and at the Canada Research Chair in Feminist Ethics under the supervision of Professor Naïma Hamrouni. His work intersects applied ethics and contemporary theories of justice and draws on ideas from feminist, queer, and antiracist philosophies. In his thesis, he builds upon the methodological legacy of Charles W. Mills to explore racial inequalities within the carceral-industrial complex and the demands arising from carceral and police abolitionism.
