Biography

My name is Romeo Moungang, and I am originally from Cameroon. Since winter 2023, I have been pursuing doctoral studies at the Faculty of Philosophy at Université Laval, under the supervision of Professors Patrick Turmel and Jérôme Gosselin-Tapp. My dissertation project extends the work I began in my Master’s thesis, completed under the supervision of Professor Tim Henning at the University of Stuttgart in Germany. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree with a focus on philosophy and French philology from Christian-Albrecht University of Kiel. My current research project examines the right to select and exclude immigrants as they seek to cross the territorial borders of Western democracies.
