Biography
Yann Allard-Tremblay is a Professor of Political Science, McGill University. He leads the Anti-Racism and Decolonization Flagship Theme.
He received his PhD from the Universities of St Andrews and Stirling. He previously held an Assistant Professor of Sociology and Political Science at Glendon College, York University. He is a member of the Huron-Wendat Nation.
His current research focuses on the decolonization and indigenization of political thought. In particular, he is interested in how Indigenous political thoughts, practices, and traditions are transforming various central concepts in political theory. He is also interested in how certain approaches to Western political thought, such as political pluralism and classical conservatism, might allow for a productive exchange with these traditions.
