Saturday, September 28 2024, Yann Allard-Tremblay (McGill) will participate in the Bandung Conference of the North, and will present on the theme of “Imperialism and the Nation State, Untying the Racial Knot”.

The conference Bandung du Nord continues the spirit of Bandung 1955, the first intercontinental conference bringing together non-white peoples in human history. The 2024 conference, organized entirely by non-white people, will mark a debut in North America, and will address issues affecting the common realities of non-white peoples in the global north, while also reflecting on a project for a Decolonial International that would secure a political alliance between Western decolonial movements.

The 2024 conference will be held at the University of Quebec in Montreal.
