A decade ago, ‘sortition’ was scarcely known outside classical studies. Today, its surge in popularity, especially in social justice for distributing scarce resources like housing, is notable. Sortition’s potential in politics to disrupt power and combat corruption is also gaining attention. The Journal of Sortition at Sciences Po, Paris, edited by Gil Delannoi, seeks contributions that examine sortition’s public role. Submissions are peer-reviewed and can be sent to jos@imprint.co.uk.
